Elise Foster -Leadership Academy

Cesar Chavez steward Elise Foster has been selected for the National Association of Letter Carrier's Leadership Academy. Ms. Foster is the fourth member of Branch 11 that has been chosen to participate in the intensive training which helps develop the skills of future union leaders. Previous Branch 11 members to graduate from the leadership Academy are Branch Officer and Loop Steward Stafford Price Jr. , who was a member of the first Leadership class in 2005; Region 3 RAA Mack Julion Sr. in 2006 and Ravenswood Steward Mike Caref, who will complete his final week of the first 2008 class in June. Elise, the first female selected from Branch 11, will participate in the second class of 2008 which begins in August. Elise Foster is also a member of the Chicago District Safety Committee and a Formal A back up for Branch 11 .
